He works on the concept that fate is not a helpless predestination but a destiny created by one's actions. Life is an interconnecting web of many outcomes dependent on our actions and the actions of those around us. He will use the runes to look at the past and present and the likely future if one follows the path they appear to be on, and the possible ways of altering this path. He will prepare the initial reading but then take time out, often on a walk or while practicing karate, to pull together the cause and effect process and the likely outcomes.
