Gayna with Liz McLarnon
Liz McLarnon was born in Liverpool on 10 April 1981. Originally a law student, Liz was drawn into the music scene in 1997 when she joined Kerry Katona in the original Atomic Kitten line-up. The band were originally called Automatic Kittens. The first single, "Right Now", reached number 10 in the charts in 1999. In 2000, "See Ya" also went into the Top Ten.
With new member Jenny Frost - Kerry Katona having left to have a baby with Westlife's Bryan McFadden - the next single, "Whole Again", reached Number 1, as did the album "Right Now". Other number one singles have included covers of The Bangles' "Eternal Flame" and Blondie's "The Tide Is High".
In August 2003, Liz reported for "Real Story" (BBC TV) about pensioners being forced to move out of care homes.
She was alerted to this by the plight of her own 102-year old great grandmother.
In 2005, Atomic Kitten reunited to help support the World Vision charity.
Liz was recently riding high in the charts once again with her solo cover of the Gibb Brothers' song, "Woman in Love", which went top ten once more. Her album is due for release later this year.
Birthchart Analysis
The following is a brief synopsis of my analysis of Liz's birth chart.
Liz has the SUN in ARIES: This makes her a natural leader, and a loyal person with friends. She has the traditional Aries qualities of being friendly and open, and is great at getting projects off the ground. Somewhat daring, she is not afraid of taking risks, and brings a high level of energy and enthusiasm to all she does. On the downside she has to guard against being careless or impulsive at times. She has a refreshing charm.
Modifying all this Aries openness somewhat is her SCORPIO ASCENDANT: This gives her the need to dig deep, to investigate and uncover what is not revealed. It also makes her manner a little more guarded that is usual for Aries (which is no bad thing to be friendly but somewhat reserved!). It does not, however, detract from her directness or her intrepid approach to life. She is highly observant and eternally curious.
Liz has her MIDHEAVEN, ruling career and reputation, in Virgo. This means she may not be as comfortable with fame as her Fire Sun Sign would indicate. It also means health may become an interest later in life.
Her MOON in CANCER is in its natural sign and therefore works just as it should, making her receptive to others on many levels (including intuitive). It gives her an attractive vulnerable quality and she may sometimes act in a surprisingly maternal way when the situation requires it! Moon Cancerians can be somewhat passive; certainly this position makes her p more reflective and very sensitive, also someone who loves her home.
Her MERCURY, ruling mental processes, is, like her Sun, in ARIES. This adds to her sense of enthusiasm. She thinks on her feet but becomes bored easily. She needs a lot of mental stimulation.
VENUS, also in ARIES, can add to this sense of impatience if things are not happening fast enough. This is someone who can fall in and out of love quickly. An idealistic person who can become quite emphatic in arguments, she is nevertheless fair-minded and seeks justice at all times. She is loyal in love and friendships.
MARS is in ARIES. Liz needs to be physical and energetic to avoid becoming restless.
Her JUPITER is in LIBRA. This will add to her desire to assert the rights of others and she may find herself campaigning on behalf of causes which are close to her heart; she could for instance become the public face of a charity. Jupiter in this position gives an interest in law and the judiciary.
Liz has SATURN in LIBRA. This is an outer, slow moving planet with a wider influence, as are those further out in the Universe. It gave rise to a generation who take life quite seriously and honour their commitments.
So, Liz is in some ways typical of someone with several planets in Aries, a high achiever, doing what many others would like to do. In other ways she has a much quieter and more sensitive side. She will certainly need to temper life in the fast lane with quieter, more meditative times, preferably spent at home.
